Avoid Foods

 

Caffeine effects blood sugar levels.. be cautious when taking throughout the day.

STAY AWAY from anything that says SUGAR FREE.. packed with carbs.

Low sugar items look at the carb content not just sugar content.

ALSO be concerned about the warning about certain sugar subsitues.

AVOID sweet tasting things, including fruit, especially dried fruit, and artifical sweeteners during PHASE 1.

SWEETENERS, 4 categories:

Natural: table sugar, sugar in the raw, honey, agave syrup, maple surup, fructose, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup.. etc. natural does not mean they are not processed.. but merely derived from natural sources.

Artificial: aspartame, nutraSweet, Equal, sucralose, splenda, saccharin, sweetNlow..etc

Sugar Alcohols: sorbitol, xylitol, maltitol, mannitol, erythritol, lactitol, etc

Novel: stevia extrats, tagatose, trehalose, and sweet fiber.

Natural sweeteners have the highest carbs
