Sweet & Deadly

(March 27 2023)

Friend, no one ever said that artificial sweeteners are HARMLESS -- except the mainstream, of course.

For example, a group called the "Calorie Control Council" is always singing the praises of fake sugars.

Problem is, they've got skin in the game, since they represent makers of low-cal, sugar-free foods.

Yet, despite a new research bombshell about one fake sugar's clear and present danger...

The "council" remains pretty stoked about erythritol... even though the new study linked it to a HIGHER risk of blood clots, stroke, heart attack, and DEATH within three years.

Even worse, if you're a regular erythritol user with diabetes or heart disease... your risk of heart attack or stroke is DOUBLED.

Incredibly, the research team discovered this connection by accident.

They were looking for ANYTHING in subjects' blood that could predict their risk for a heart attack, stroke, or death in the next three years.

And, well... the found something unexpected -- erythritol. And the HIGHER the erythritol levels, the GREATER the risk.

Now, you may not know erythritol by name, but if you use popular sugar replacements, like stevia or monkfruit, or buy low-carb food products targeted to folks with diabetes or on keto diets...

There's a VERY good chance you're consuming it.

That's because erythritol is frequently added to artificial sugar and low-carb diet foods to add bulk and texture.

See, stevia and monkfruit are up to 400 times sweeter than sugar. So manufacturers use a tiny bit of these super-sweet imposters, and fill in the rest with erythritol.

It even has crystals like sugar, which gives the fake stuff the appearance and mouth-feel of the real thing.

Now, erythritol is used in SO many products, it's been called "the sweetheart of the food industry."

In fact, researchers found that some of the diabetes-labeled foods they analyzed contained MORE erythritol than ANY other ingredient.

But even though researchers called erythritol "on par with the strongest of cardiac risk factors"...

The Calorie Control Council vehemently disagreed, calling these results "contrary to decades of scientific research showing reduced-calorie sweeteners like erythritol are safe."

Yep, and I have a bridge I can sell you.

A Sweet Goodbye

Friend, if you're a frequent user of stevia or monkfruit, or any diet products that contain them, I recommend tossing them in the trash.

And if you're considering swapping erythritol for OTHER sugar substitutes, STOP right there. Because other common options have been linked to allergic reactions, fatigue, migraines, and cancer.

So, if and when you do need to add a little sweetness, choose a healthy fruit, like berries.

And if you're looking to drop a few pounds, try a Paleo diet of all-natural foods, especially lean proteins, animal fats, and zero carbs.

If you stick with it, you'll not only lose weight and improve your health, you'll also reduce your cravings for something sweet.

And those are the sweetest results of all.
